All About the Glow
What kind of light activates Glowscape and GlowMates?
Purple light pens come with both GlowMates and Glowscape and create the strongest glow, but you can also use a regular white light for a moderate glow effect. All the light pens sold on our website have purple light.
How long does the glow last?
The glow fades on its own, and after a few minutes in a moderately lit room the glow will seem to disappear. In a pitch black room, the glow will totally disappear over 4-6 hours.
How much ambient light can I have near Glowscape and GlowMates?
Both Glowscape and GlowMates are bright enough to be used during the day, but for best performance we recommend keeping your them in a dark or dimly lit room. Since they absorb light, in a bright room it will be more difficult to see the glow effect.

How do I set up Glowscape?
Included in the Glowscape kit are 8 sticky dots that can be used to hang Glowscape on a roughly textured wall. We also offer optional frames.
How can I clean it?
If your Glowscape gets scuffed or drawn on with crayons or markers (we know, it happens!), the best way to clean it is with a slightly dampened melamine sponge, or a "magic eraser." It will easily remove scuffs or residue without affecting the glow surface. You can also wipe Glowscape with a regular damp cloth.
Is Glowscape radioactive?
Glowscape is not radioactive! It is luminescent, meaning is only glows when charged by a light source. The glowing ingredient in the plastic is strontium aluminate, which is non-toxic and inert.

How long will it take to get my order?
We ship from Arvada, Colorado, which is just outside Denver. Depending on your location, you will receive your order 2-5 business days after placing it.
Do you offer free shipping?
Within the continental US we offer free shipping on orders $50+. Otherwise we charge a flat-rate $7 shipping fee. Shipping for AK and HI is based on carrier rates.
How can I track my order?
You will receive a shipping confirmation email which will contain your order’s tracking information.
Please allow 2 business days to receive your shipment notification email after placing your order.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, no problem! Please drop us an email at info@bolderglow.com and we’ll change any details for you. If your order has already shipped, we offer returns with 100% refund for any reason.
