Glowscape and GlowBoard are made of a photoluminescent surface that temporarily glows when exposed to light. The included purple light pens activate the glow, although white light (eg, a standard flashlight) will also produce a moderate glow effect.

GlowMates and GlowBabies are made of glow-in-the-dark fabric that also produces a bright glow when activated by the purple light pens. Our light pens are designed to activate the glow effect in all our products and can be used interchangeably.

Glowscape, GlowMates/Babies, and GlowBoard themselves don't require any power. The included light pens are battery-powered (batteries included).

The glow effect typically lasts anywhere from a few seconds up to a couple of minutes, depending on the level of ambient light in the room and duration of exposure to the light pen.

Absolutely! You can reuse the glow drawing surfaces (Glowscape and GlowBoard) and the stuffed animals (GlowMates/Babies) indefinitely. The glow effect doesn't wear out

Absolutely. We use non-toxic, eco-friendly materials that are safe for kids to handle. No ink, no chemicals—just light-reactive fabric and surfaces.

If your glow surface gets scuffed or drawn on with crayons or markers (we know, it happens!), the best way to clean it is with a slightly dampened melamine sponge, or a "magic eraser." It will easily remove scuffs or residue without affecting the glow surface. You can also wipe it with a regular damp cloth to remove dust.

Yes! You can treat your GlowMate/Baby like any other stuffed animal. We recommend machine washing on delicate cycle and air dry. The glow will not fade with washing.

Nope. The glow effect does not run out, so you can reuse our products indefinitely.

If you're not happy with your purchase for any reason, you can return it within 30 days. Please send us an email at info@bolderglow.com for return instructions. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. When we receive the return we will issue a refund for the original purchase price of the item.

Yes! Bolderglow products support learning through play. Kids can practice letters, numbers, patterns, and storytelling—all while having fun.

You can do anything that you would normally do with pen and paper, such as practicing writing, spelling, math problems, or drawing shapes. The glow makes learning feel like play, especially with tools like our alphabet stencils. The Bolderglow light pen is designed to be easy to grip for little learners.
